European Conference on Liquid Crystals 2011

Welcome to ECLC 2011!

On behalf of the organizing committee of the 11th European Conference on Liquid Crystals, we kindly invite you to participate in ECLC 2011 which will be held in Maribor, Slovenia, from 6th to 11th February 2011.

The conference will be organized by the University of Maribor and will take place in a five star hotel Habakuk. It will be held under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Slovenia Dr Danilo Türk. The conference site is on the outskirts of the Pohorje mountain, surrounded by beautiful natural environment and only a few minute drive from downtown Maribor - the economic, business, cultural and university centre of Štajerska. The conference site is next to the ski slope, therefore we have planned the conference program so that skiing will be possible in the afternoons.

The conference will bring together both prominent scientists and students covering a broad range of scientific fields entering liquid crystal research. We hope that the conference will contribute to the fast advancing liquid crystal science and science in general. We will do our best to ensure that your stay in Slovenia will be a pleasant and productive one and hope that you return home relaxed, enriched with new knowledge and friends.
